Buck, I'd be happy to.  I was also in a movie in 63 that they shot up in the Panhandle. A movie called "HUD". It had some guy in it named Paul Newman. I was in a couple of scenes, unloading stock at a rodeo, and shooting the sick cattle.

Dr. John, He played for our Prom in either 65 or 66 and Jim Gilmer and the Fireballs played the other year. It's been too years since then to remember which group played which year.  Hey Leo, What about Dr. John, Leon Redbone, and Leon Russell in a Jam session.

I could skip on the Leon Redbone part.  Zydeco were never ma thing.

By the time my prom came around they didn't have live bands anymore, just DJ's playin crappy 80's music.  I think it would have been alot more fun with a live band.  Oh, an a date that wasn't a ravinig bi***.  That woulda helped to, but I digress.

In our town, we had three public high schools and two parochial high schools.  Each one had its own prom (don’t remember if we had a live band, or a DJ), then everybody went down to the city hall auditorium for what we called Post Prom.  There we did have a live band!  It was Buddy Rich and his band!!

I remember seein that the first time it was aired.  Ma Dad was patient and watched it too every week.  I liked the two old guys up in the box seat that critisized everythin.
