Leo, It's too hot for Bushmills, and besides that I'm on a mini-vacation this weekend. This hotel Cawfee is bad, it tastes like instant. The bull riding doesn't start till about 2 pm today. I'm hoping they have a weekend breakfast buffet here in the hotel. They had some good rides last night. Both the kids I know finished in the top 10 last night. Everybody rides one round and then top 15 get a chance to ride a third one . The winner will get about 30 thousand bucks.

TLD,  that brings to mind OSU and Ripley,  $2 would get you a ride on a bucking bull back when I was in College,  a friend and I decided that it sounded like fun to us, so we drove over on Thursday night to give it a try. :o ::)

we pretty much decided after that night,  Bull Ridiin just wasn't in the cards fer us.   ;D
We done it for Dixie,  nothing else

Leo, Mr. Hankey.... I know you know. Just another hint for some that might not.

Personally I find the Social Commentary there to be intelligent, even when I don't agree.

Bought a book on local history the other night, had a picture that brought back a lot of memories from the 1960's, noon show on KLON TV Channel 10 Lincoln.  B-36 bomber, used to go over to the TV station at lunch with his band, Marty Martin and the KLON-TV Rangers:

Lecil Travis Martin from Sterratt Txas, one standing in the middle is him.  Was at the old Rock Island crossing on O st one day, watched a freight train go by with a hobo one it, got the idea to write a song, recorded it on a 45 at the old Roto Records about 1/2 mile from where I grew up, Dad bought a copy, still over to mom's.  Moved on, retired from the AF, made is somewhat big, took a new stage name, the name of that first song he recorded, was known as Box Car Willie ever after.

Boxcar was a boom operator on a KC 97 tanker. He was stationed at NAS Dallas when he was still in the Air National Guard. Starrett is a little town just north of Waxahachie on HWY 77. I met Box out at DFW one night in baggage claim.
