I remember the tap outlawin in school,  had to be early, early 60's,  course everybody had toe taps and heel taps,  remember the horseshoe taps,  you could slip and fall just as easy as if you were walking on ice

I can remember after they got wore down too much it was worse,  I can remember toe taps cost ten cents each, the horseshoe taps were 25 cents.  you never wore down your heel or toe but it was like skatin on ice.  especially in the hall at school, it was always heavily waxed.

I saw the demise of the taps when I was a kid.  Fergot all about em.  I had em on my Patton leather church goin shoes.  They did spare the wear an tear one the soles but not on the floors.  There's a trip down memory lane

Leo, It's been a long time since I saw a Lucky Lager beer can. You needed an opener to open those things.  Back in the old days, Coors and Bud were that way too.

We used ta call those openers a church key.  Those cans were a little before my time.  I grew up with the pop tops that some folks would drop in the can after openin em an end up chokin on the things.  Droppin a razor sharp piece a metal in my soda never seemed like a good ider ta me

We made chains out of the pull tops and used them to decorate the Christmas tree at our trailer houses after I moved off campus.

I can faintly remember the non-pull top cans. As a matter of fact, I can remember Dad getting Old Dutch occassionally in the capped cans. Those were the ones that resembled bottles..............Buck

Never wore flip-flops but stepped on a few of them.

I've seen the capped cans in collections, but Fallstaff was not usin' them by the time I started drinkin' it.  Popular with a lot of farmers around here till they shut down.

Ma Grampa had some old Eidleweis tin cans that he had removed the entire lids from an used ta store nuts an bolts.  Now that's an old beer company.
