Toby made a movie with Willie and Rodney called "Beer for My Horses".   Toby and Rodney are Deputies in Jackson County Oklahoma.  Toby played football at OU and some semipro ball in Oklahoma besides working on oil rigs like his dad.

This ones been stuck in my head since I heard it.  May not be everyones cup of tea, but I really enjoy these guys.

Look at earth from outer space
Everyone must find a place
Give me time and give me space
Give me real don't give me fake
Give me strength reserve control
Give me heart and give me soul
Give me time give us a kiss
Tell me you're a Politik

And open up your eyes
open up your eyes (x3)

Give me one cause one is best
in confusion confidence
Give me peace of mind and trust
Don't forget the rest of us
Give me strength reserve control
Give me heart and give me soul
Wounds that heal and cracks that fix
Tell me you're a Politik

And open up your eyes
Open up your eyes (x3)
Just open up your eyes

I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real
The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Beneath the stain of time
The feeling disappears
You are someone else
I am still right here

What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

I really love some of that stuff Johnny did on the Amerika label, the liner nots for the :Unchained" albums are a hoot.  He talks about in LA you get veggie burgers at recording sessions and how they can be eaten if you put enough mustard on them. ;D

I have been ungrateful I've been unwise Restless from the cradle Now I realize It's so hard to see the rainbow Through glasses dark as these Maybe I'll be able From now on, on my knees

Oh, o-o-oh I am weak Oh, I know I am vain Take this weight from me Let my spirit be Unchained

Old man swearin' at the sidewalk I'm overcome Seems that we've both forgotten Forgotten to go home

Oh, have I seen an angel Or have I seen a ghost Where's that rock of ages When I need it most

Oh, o-o-oh I am weak Oh, I know I am vain Take this weight from me Let my spirit be Unchained...

That's a good one.  Woula liked ta set down an chat with Johnny fer a bit.
     Here's one I like.

Wanted man in California,
Wanted man in Buffalo
Wanted man in Kansas City,
Wanted man in Ohio

Wanted man in Mississippi,
Wanted man in ol' Cheyenne

Wherever you might look tonight you might see this wanted man

I might be in Colorado,
Or Georgia by the sea
Working for some man who may not know at all who I might be

If you ever see me coming and if you know who I am
Don't you breathe it to nobody 'cause you know I'm on the lamb

Wanted man by Lucy Watson,
Wanted man by Jeannie Brown
Wanted man by Nellie Johnson,
Wanted man in this next town

I've had all that I wanted of a lot of things I've had
And a lot more than I needed of some things that turned out bad

I got sidetracked in El Paso,
Stopped to get myself a map
Went the wrong way in Pleura with Juanita on my back

Went to sleep in Shreveport,
Woke up in Abilene
Wonderin' why I'm wanted at some town half way in between

Wanted man in Albuquerque,
Wanted man in Syracuse
Wanted man in Tallahassee,
Wanted man in Baton Rouge

There's somebody set to grab me
Anywhere that I might be
And wherever you might look tonight
You might get a glimpse of me

Wanted man in California,
Wanted man in Buffalo
Wanted man in Kansas City,
Wanted man in Ohio

Wanted man in Mississippi,
Wanted man in ol' Cheyenne

Wherever you might look tonight you might see this wanted man

Big and Rich
"Live This Life"

Met a man on the street last night
Said his name was Jesus
Met a man on the street last night
Thought he was crazy till I watched him heal a blind man
Watched him heal a blind man now I see

I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore

Met a girl in a chair with wheels
But no one else would see her
Met a girl in a chair with wheels
Everyone was so afraid
To even look down on her
And she just spread her little wings and flew away yeah

I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore

Met a kid on a bridge last night
Contemplating freedom
Met a kid on a bridge last night
And he said
I'm tired of this maddening life
And I'm ready to go meet Jesus
And I said he's a friend of mine
Met him just last night
And it's alright
Yeah it's all right
Yeah

I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Live here anymore

Met a man on the street last night
Said his name was Jesus
Met a man on the street last night

... always think of you Leo and Tex, when I hear this song, thank you so much.  Now I see, thank you.

Willie, I made several trips out to Prescott on extradition trips, Heck , a couple of times we drove out there from Fort Worth.  My wife and I spent the night in the Vendome Hotel. We ate in some of the restaurants on the old downtown part.  I also went to Flagstaff a bunch of times. We ate at a little place called the Cochina Doll. They had some hot food. I flew into the Flagstaff airport one time and even went to the movies a couple of times.

Well, I went home with the waitress
The way I always do
How was I to know
She was with the Russians, too

I was gambling in Havana
I took a little risk
Send lawyers, guns and money
Dad, get me out of this

I'm the innocent bystander
Somehow I got stuck
Between the rock and the hard place
And I'm down on my luck
And I'm down on my luck
And I'm down on my luck

Now I'm hiding in Honduras
I'm a desperate man
Send lawyers, guns and money
The s!&* has hit the fan

Send lawyers, guns and money...

Here's one that I have always enjoyed and I knew that if I ever broke up with a girl, this is how I would feel.
Well I broke up with my girl, and this is exactly how I feel! ;D

It's really over, you made your stand
You got me crying, as was your plan
But when my loneliness is through, i'm gonna find another you

You take your sweaters
You take your time
You might have your reasons but you will never have my rhyme
I'm gonna sing my way away from blue
I'm gonna find another you

When i was your lover
No one else would do
If i'm forced to find another i hope she looks like you
Yeah and she's nicer too, yeah

So go on baby
Make your little get away
My pride will keep me company
And you just gave yours all away
Oh, now i'm gonna dress myself for two
Once for me and once for someone new
I'm gonna do some things you wouldn't let me do
Oh i'm gonna find another you

At 25, you need to follow dreams or you'll regret it later.

yep, I love John Mayer.  If you haven't heard him before you really should check him out.  He's amazing.  Him and Jonny Lang are my two favorite modern blues singers.  here's one of Jonny's:
"Give Me Up Again"

Make up your mind take me or leave me
I'll be doing fine with or without you
I'm wasting my time letting you deceive me
The truth is in your eyes but I deny what I see
Time and time again

I let you get back under my skin
I let you break me down again
I let you get close way too close
But I see through it

You gave me that smile and I gave in
And you knew that I would
Time and time again you pulled me in
Just to give me up, gime me up again

What is a dream if it doesn't come true
I believe I'll find love but will it be with you
I never would have thought such a pretty little face could
offer me so much and take all that I had
Well I want it back

I let you get back under my skin
I let you break me down again
I let you get close way too close
But I see through it

You gave me that smile and I gave in
And you knew that I would
Time and time again you pulled me in
Just to give me up, gime me up again

Time and time again you pulled me in
Just to give me up, give me up, give me up

here's some more of Jonny shredding some blues on his Telecaster Thinline

Willie, That looks like a performance of "Austin City Limits".  I don't watch it on a regular basis anymore. I used to watch it alot in the 90s which Stevie Ray Vaughn was still alive.

found another awesome one of Jonny Lang.  Thought I'd post up the link.  I love this song, and it's from his original album when he was 15!

A good morning little schoolgirl,
can I go home with you?
tell your mama and your daddy,
that I'm a little schoolboy too.

Baby I love you,
I just can't help help myself.

You're so good looking pretty babe,
I don't need nobody else.

Good morning little schoolgirl,
Can I go home with you?
Uh, Uh, Uh...

I'm gonna leave you baby,
about the break of day
on account of the way you treat me,
I've got to stay away.

A good morning little schoolgirl,
can I go home with you?

tell your mama and your daddy,
that I'm a little schoolboy too.

Come on pretty baby,
oh you know I can't help myself.
Uh, Uh, Uh...

I'm gonna buy me an aeroplane,
to fly all over your town.
And tell everybody baby,
Lord knows you've been putting me down.

I can't stand it babe,
just cannot help myself

Your're so young and pretty,
But you're lovin' somebody else

A good morning little schoolgirl,
can I go home with you?
Uh, uh, uh...
Oh babe what you do to me,
I can't help myself.
