This is a great one.  Listen to how well the arrangement is made.  Benny actualy took a pen ta paper an made this noise happen.  He even threw in a couple of seconds of Yankee Doodle in there just fer fun.  It's always been a favorite of mine an is just plain masterful.  Buddy Rich may have been one the best drummers that ever lived.  When Benny comes in after the second solo it gives me chills.

Buddy Rich simply amazes me.  Did you ever see him play against Animal from the Muppets? ;D   In some of his vids, you can see sweat pouring off of him.  I wonder what his folks thought of him and his energy when he was a kid.

According to the comments in your video, that wasn't Buddy Rich, but Gene Krupa on the drums.  You can also find a "Playoff" video of them together.
