Where did you stay Will?  We're going to Hooten for the state championship and I couldn't get in where I wanted to stay.

We rented one of the cabins on the grounds from a posse who rents them from the land owner.

Oh, that would be great.  Bet they won't have any available for the state championship though.  :(  Thanks Will and I'm gonna send you a PM.

If you can't get a cabin on the range there is a motel in town the phone 606-287-8235
our Posse stayed there at the 2006 Nationals the air felt real good at the end of a hot day ,we stayed in the jail on the range at the State Shoot don't recommend staying there that is the shower for the range lots of traffic in and out.

we hope to have the 1876 Winchester with a 28 inch barrel and ammo , we have lots of time to plan for the 2007 Nationals . We plan on having the rifle out for viewing and shooting during
the side matches on Thursday all day. We hope to have a USFA pistol to look at and shoot , plus
we will have a TTN 1878 for looking and shooting .So make your plans for the 2007 Nationals.

Rowdy,
What are the chances of having a couple of those 1876s with 28 inch barrels for sale at the Nationals next year?

Bill
Bill if your needing a 1876 Winchester I recommend calling Whittakers at 270-229-0140 he has been selling the Chapprals for $859.00 he should have the Taylors anytime . The 1876 you saw last Nationals now has a 28 inch barrel with a semi buckhorn rear sight . Also the article for the shootist is almost done this has been fun .
P.S. What about an NCOWS USFA I am working on this project now what would you like to have ?

French Jack, you guy's did such a great job last year. Would not miss this coming summer. Looking forward to the Convention and the NCOWS Nationals - always a great time. Look forward to dragging Montery Jack Brass (the other Michigan NCOWS member and Original) out of whatever disreputable circumstance he is in and placing him about the fire and camp. It will be his first exposure to both.
