Tell me 'bout it Trinity.  Twenty minute ride 'n I was ta Pungo where I could mess with my loads. Tuesday mornin's was 'Cowboy Plinkin' 'n BS' time.  Meet up with some pards 'n burn some powder. All gone.  What we got ta replace the place is too far away for my likin' ta just go out 'n plink.  This stuff ah not shootin' 'til a clocks runnin' stinks....

On the media stuff.  Bought some of the ground up cobb fer hampster cages from Pet Smart.  Works pretty good especially with polish.  Hell sight cheaper than the same stuff whut they sell in bags it the shooters' places saying it's tumbler media. Thing is, I'm at the grocery two er three times a week 'n I kin get the rice there.   I gottah make a special trip ta Pet Smart.

Got a container ah raw oatmeal I was gonna use for shotshell filler but that stuff don't work as good as grits.  I'm gonna toss that in the thumber 'n see what happens.

what kind of tumblers do you'all use the tumbler or the vibrator type.

do you de-cap or wait till you get ready to reload?

A Midway vibratory.  I don't recommend one.  It's four years old and on its third motor.  Midway keeps fixin' it but it's a pain packin' it up 'n shippin' it back.

I don't size and de-cap the things until they're clean.

I'm on my second Midway vibrartor.  They took the first one back 'cuz it had a defective motor that might cause a fire.  They replaced it and have had this one for a while now.  I was lazy for a while and didn't reload.  Now it is getting a workout like it should.

I also don't size and de-cap until they are clean.  I tried de-capping first once.  Too much corn media got stuck in the primer hole.  Ain't gonna do that again.

I've got a Midway Vibrator that I got in 1989, I ain't used it much the last couple of years but used to use it hard, never had a problem, maybe they don't make them like they used to. ::)

When I get the loading room back set up from the house re=arangin' it has a lot of work to do.

Yer always hongry.  He guess what I seen at the grocey store the other day, you can buy leftover bacon now at three times the cost of fresh.

Pre-cooked, just heat it up in the micro-wave, sounds like someone's durned leftovers to me. ;D  Always seems funny, folks don't want leftovers mom cooks, but they buy that micro-wave junk. ::)

Ozark:

At one of the clubs I shoot at, the Texas Star is owned by the ISPC shooters there.  They have really abused it with thier full metal jacket 9mm & .40 S&W bullets.  There are even some holes on the center post.  Do youself a favor and don't let anyone shoot at yours unless they are shootin' lead.

Sod Buster,  I know you're right about the target getting shot up,  I've got about an 8 ft. road grader blade, I've been thinking about making a spinning target for rifles and FMJ bulllits out of it,  I know it's tough maybe then Del can bring his 243 and shot away.  I've always liked them targets that move when ya hit em.

That's exactly why I don't like to shoot at paper targets.  I want some motion and/or sound.  You get that from steel targets...

...and intruders. ;D

If'n you're not on the recieving end,

I have a friend that had a flat and was walking down the road toward his house, at night,  said some dogs started barking and an old lady came out on the porch and pulled out her double barrel shotgun and fired a couple of rounds off,  said he saw her a few days later, in town and told her it was him walking by the house, she said she does that ever time the dogs act up, just to let any intruders know she means business,

she was at wal mart buying 6 boxes of shotgun shells :o :o ;D

I use Big Lube boolits, which I cast myself. FFg in shotgun. FFFg in pistol caliber. Ya can use FFg fer pistol caliber. FFFg gives 'em a little more zip.  ;D I have a RCBS vibrating tumbler. I bought it used. I had to send it back fer a new motor, just had ta pay fer shipping one way.

I got me some of them big lube bullits ordered, I think I can get all the other things I need up at Ft. Smith. I had to work in the barns all today,  so it's just finding time to go to town.  maybe in the next few days I can work a trip in.
