I better go out there and gather em all into the house,  they get ahold of one of them dead sheep, it's liable to poison em.

They'll be good round about Thanksgiving. ;D

There wasn't anything that would be good for targets, its all too thin.   :(

I'm leaning toward the ballistic polymer stuff.  The pairie dog sounded like a heap of fun!

the prarie dog looks like it would be fun to shoot,  I always like to shoot something that jumps or moves when hit.

Have you ever shot any armadillos, they jump aobut 3 ft up in the air when you hit them :o ;D

We gots problems with bunnies gnawin' on our apple trees, so they is a varmint.  Little brother often uses a 270 with 110 Hornaday HP's.  On night we were at the farm and was going to town to get something, it was almost complete dark, he seen one out about 100 yards away in the drive, right beside the barn,  He grabbed his 270, rested it on the hood of the tractor and shot a big ball of fire.  He tossed it back in the gunrack and as we left he said he thought he missed, he didn't see it layin' there.

Well when we got back we went down by the barn with flashlights.  there was a small ball of guts and fur about the size of a golf ball. ::)  He shined his light up and the barn side was covered with bloody fur 6-7 feet up.  It was facin' away and he held on the base of the tail. :P

last year when deer season opened,  I was out hunting with my 270, I didn't see anything all morning so I started to the house and noticed the squirells running around,  I killed 3 for supper,  that 270 took just the head off at a little over 100 yds. no damage to the meat.

Don't try that with 110 Hornaday HP's, they seem to be the most explosive 270 bullet.  The cut Prairie dogs in half, but they are just stout enough they go on through.  Now my 243 with the now discontinued Hornaday SXSP will flip a bunny but leave it intact.  But when you go look they got blood comin' out the nose, mouth, ears and that hole under the tail.  When you pick them up they feel like a rabbit skin filled with Jello and shelled corn.  :P

Thats the idea, play with it and learn to use it and the camera well.  Use you folks for ginny-pigs and then I'll know how to use it when I do more serious stuff.  I got a quilt thread to finish and I'm going to start posting cooking pictures in Cosies Corner, check out the first oneI posted last night.

"Sides that it could have been you hangin' in that tree, It took 3 of us once we got his feet tied to lift him up there.  And I didn't have hand troubles then and he decided it was OK and would make a great picture.

Del, the more you use it the more you'll like it.  I end up taking pictures of everythng,  last week when I was replacing a hydralic oil line on the skid loader, I took a picture, there were 6 other hoses to take loose to reach the broken one. makes things so easy. just put it on the  TV screen and see how it goes, nice big picture.

well back from visiting, Ozark goes to the turkey parts walki-in  freezer,  seeing that the parts are starting to build up. thinks,  I'll have to call Trinity and see if litl rooster can use some of this seeing as how he's reopening this week.

"litl roosterville Hooters will be very pleased to enter into contract with the kingdom of Ozark Tracker."  Says Trinity, trying to sound official.
