They call it that so proper folks don't make a mistake and eat it.  "neither Oak nor Mesquite smoke should ever be allowed to touch a piece of meat, when using either or elm for cookin' the food should be inside dutch ovens.    I don't mind grilled if it's over good wood coals  or on a cast iron griddle, and is cooked slow and basted with butter.  No propane, no sawdust charcoa.

#1:  Del... I actually like the taste of mesquite smoked meats.  Sorry.

#2:  The Sheepherder is going to be sorry when he see's that the fire he was watching was the "Jimmy Walker's Dy-no-mite Chicken Ranch".  It seems the Sheepherder needs new glasses.

It seems the tally actually stands at:  Sheepherder -5000,  Little Rooster 1

#3:  The Sheepherder reeeeeaaaaally needs to adjust how he calls his cats.  The internet police are going to start keeping an eye on him!

A few year old fer the company's summer outing, we went to a yuppie farm/pet zoo. When it started to get toward dusk, the owner of the "farm" brought wood over the start a campfire. The wood was scraps of painted boards.  :o ::) I promptly moved the family and myself away from the campfire.
