I think they are trying to make a lot of money on all these kids into tactical weapons.

Inside sources are saying that the well ran dry and the equipment was all sold.
Interesting that Donnelly is touting a "re-tool" (but if you sold all the equipment that would definately be necessary).
I can't find a USFA dealer with any inventory and they have not received any for a LONG time.

I guess we'll see if the re-tool ever happens, time will tell, but it's pretty danged sad :'(

HH

Well, some dealers got guns in 2012, but very few. I bought Ten Rings 2 20th Anniversary guns, and 1 from Trail Creek. Also bought 2 USFA USA guns new in late Summer. Nothing else out there I am aware of unless its a Turnbull branded USFA.

Using them for what?  There don't appear to be any single actions coming out of USFA these days.

You're on the wrong website.  They have changed it:

http://www.usfasingleactions.com/

As Mark Twain said (slightly modified), "Rumors of their demise has been greatly exaggerated."

Whew! Thanks!

So are they still making single actions as well as the Zips?

Yep.  Just give them a call and order one the way you want it.  Then wait.  The last one I bought last year took about 4 months but the wait was worth it.

Texagun,
Are you sure that they are taking orders for single actions right now?  Last I heard, they were not taking any orders presently because the wait-time is 2 years due to the list of unfilled orders that they now have.  This aint no rumor.  The girl on the phone at USFA told me this when I called about 1 month ago.  Has the situation changed?

From your recent experience, it sounds like it has.  But a phone call to USFA would provide the current answer and end all the speculation.

I called two weeks ago and was told that they were not taking new orders now due to back log.  No mention of a two year wait.  The girl said to call after the new year when she thought orders would again be taken.  It left me with the impression that they will in deed are/will be producing the SAA again.  Maybe wishful thinking, but I didn't just fall off the turnip truck either.

So does this mean that they bought back all the sold-off machinery recently?

And hired back the production guys they'd let go with a minimal severance?

Amazing...

I hear they have the doors and windows "blacked" out so you can't look in.  The latest I've picked up is that since the machines are gone, they are looking for a smaller building.

Just so long as it'll fit someone to handle phone watch and maybe run a Unimat lathe - that'll be enough space.
