If you guys really want to spend the time looking at data you can go here and look at the Annual Reports of Firearms Production.  http://www.atf.gov/statistics/

The data is not alphabetical.  It is listed by state.  I picked 2009 at random.  In 2009 USFA produced 17 semi-auto handguns and 1582 revolvers.

I read the atf data as 1582 produced in 2009, but just over 12000 produced in 2010.

So where are these ones built in 2010?  I never had any sense there was a new glut.

Here's an update from DPris on the Ruger Forum:  (Not good news)

"Back from SHOT in Vegas.
USFA has put the traditional line on hold for two years, concentrating on that Zipper.
They hope to bring the SAs back.
Reading between the lines, if the zipper sells well enough the revolvers might return, if not, that'll be it.
Denis"

That's pretty much what I was told by the man, himself. If we see it again, however, I got the impression it would be like the first USFA guns with outsourced parts.

Don't hold your breath.  Even if the Zip is successful, the manufacturing part of the company has been totally dismantled.  The machines are gone, the workers are gone, and I've heard Peter is gone (he held the place together).  If he starts over in 2 years, he'll have to start from scratch.

If Peter is gone, that happened very recently.  I just spoke to him a few weeks back.  Are you certain that he's no longer there?

Do you know Peter's last name ? I believe the younger man with Doug at the show was named Peter.

Doc. Peter, of USFA fame is Peter Rhodes, who among other things engraved your 20th anniversary gun. He , along with Kies i am told engraved the USFA Guns. I think after Gary, he was last man standing.
