Different Guns for Different Classes

I've been shooting Traditional with RVs, 94 Marlin (both .357) and a Rossi SxS. This summer I'd like to give Duelist a try and maybe even Gunfighter a try but plan on using my '66 in .45LC and a pair of 45LC revolvers I haven't yet purchased.
I don't know, just seems a little more "in-period" to shoot single handed with a larger caliber gun.
Other than "Classic", who uses different guns for different classes they shoot?

I shoot in the Frontier Cartridge Duelist catagory using a 92 Rossi, 12 bore SxS, and Remington 75s.
If a club I'm shooting with doesn't offer FCD I shoot in plain old Duelist. The only change I make for this is that I shoot smokeless rounds in a Norchester instead of using my SxS.

I have a bit of a different problem. I like to shoot my original Smith & Wesson New Model Number 3s at a couple of matches a year. Since I only shoot black powder in them I have decided to shoot FC for those matches.

Well.. I guess I do to a degree.
Once I began shooting duelist, I rarely shoot two handed, so I either shoot Duelist or Classic. When I shoot 38s or 97s, then I'm not Classic, so I'm a Duelist. That's it, until I try out the BP.
Adios,

Well of course I use different guns for different classes. If I shoot my cartridge guns I am in Frontier Cartridge and when I shoot my cap-n-ball pistols I am in Frontiersman.
