WC Darn those Pesky Customers :D

The holster looks fantastic. Did you use Feibings Walnut, or another brand? Whatever, the color sure look good. Would you care to describe how you apply that? I've read so much about how people apply stain; some oil the leather first, other case it, I'm sure there are lots of ways. Whatever you are doing looks great. I really admired the color of the Kleenex boxes.

I assumed Bob would not run his own Facebook. That thing is a real time killer if you aren't careful.

Thanks WC, I appreciate the info very much.

I mix the Feibings Walnut with Pure Neatsfoot Oil.( No I don't measure.) I apply with a piece of Sheep's wool. This one had 3 coats to get the color I wanted. It will be very dull til you put on a finish coat I used Neat-Lac spray. It was cold today and the spray was kinda blotchy but gave a very cool look. May not do the same on the sheath and belt.

GB I knew you was kiddin ;D

WC, thanks for that info on the color & finish on that most excellent holster. As I remember, that's pretty much the same way Kid Terico does his holsters, and he produces nice color as well.

I sure do appreciate all the help and good advice you and the other Pards so graciously share. JD

That is just bloody brilliant! I haven't got the patience to even consider attempting something as amazing as that, WC, much less the skills needed for it. I'm just in awe!

It only took about an hour to cut out all the plugs. I'd spend mort time than that doing a fully carved holster.

WC, thanks for this detailed picture spread. I'm wondering what you did in the way of lay out to get this done. Did you use a swivel knife for the cuts? It really looks incredible. JD
