Thanks for all the warm welcomes.

It may be a bit before I actually get to witness an NCOWS meet in person.  In the meantime I'll enjoy reading and watching the videos here at CAS.

It seems I also have a bit of work to do in discovering my "persona" and getting my guns & gear right.  I think I'm pretty much OK, except that I shoot with one Ruger Blackhawk and Ruger NM Vaquero.

But I see this as the perfect excuse to get a new gun.   ;D

I think my wardrobe checks out, unless I decide I wanna be travelling phrenologist.

Any one got any research on how phrenologists used to dress?

Near as I can tell, they wore suits.

If ya see me comin' ya might wanna keep your hat on, or I'll have my hands all over your head.

Howdy Wandering Man,

R.T.Rangebum here, I'm with the Southern Missouri Rangers in Springfield, Mo. I see that your from over near Carthage, have
you thought about shooting with our club? The reason I ask is that I just joined NCOWS today and I'm in the process of investigating a potentail NCOWS posse out of our range in addition to the sass ( hurts to write it let alone in caps ) club. I'm looking for an idea of how many people will be interested in an NCOWS shoot to see if it'll work out. What do ya think?

Actually, I'm in South Texas, on the Gulf Coast.

Mapquest says I'm about 780 miles South of you.

That's a bit more than a weekend trip, so it's unlikely I'll make it to any of your shoots.

But thanks for the invitation.

R.T.

There are several NCOWS shooters in SE Kansas and at least one in Northern Arkansas.  Guns Garrett is in Coffeeville I think, and he was trying to stir up interest in that regeion.

R.T.  When you come to the convention in Mar you will meet several from your area and can get alot of good advice on how to get your NCOWS posse started.                  jt

I don't know why I didn't think about The Gripmaker, he has been to the last three or four ShowMeShootouts where I'm the CRO. I sure hope I can get some interest for this area.
