Open Range for Ump-Teenth Time
« on: December 25, 2004, 08:02:02 PM »
I love movies and usually on the Holidays I have to watch Uncle Buck, Nat. Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Plans Train and Automobiles. However, since Open Range came out I have watched the DVD several times and now I'm watching it on the Western Channel for the Ump-Teenth time; did I say I love this movie.

So for the Holidays in the future you can bet I'll be watch Open Range again.

BTW, I rented and watched The Alamo yesterday. You can give me John Wayne any day over this newer version.

Have to agree with y'all, I love Open Range myself.

Watched it, too many times to count, on satellite. Finally taped it, and then for Christmas I got the DVD.

An extra treat yesterday was that Tombstone, another of my favorites and which I have on DVD, was on 3 or 4 different satellite channels.

What a cowboy Christmas! Westerns all day on AMC, Tombstone and Open Range on other channels, and an Open Range DVD.

Hoping y'all had a very Merry Christmas too.

IMHO, the all time best western, I have ever seen! The shootout was fanastic! We have a Sony Dream Machine with DTS, and the shots hitting walls and such sounded like they were hitting the walls in our living room. Almost made me wonder if they filmed it using live rounds.

K.C. did good!

Agree that it's a great movie, although I ain't had the time to watch it all the way through recently.  (So I just skip straight to the gunfight).  But one of the gang here has access to a projection screen that hooks to the computer and so a bunch of us are going to watch it next week if all stays quiet between now and then.

HB-

Stay safe.

If it weren't for Duvall, this movie would not have made it into my collection.

Projection screens and computers have made home theater both affordable and FUN!!! (nothing like having a 90" screen to watch this movie on...)

Any feedback from the "natives" on our films overthere?

Please tell them, we will trade them Madonna if they give us al Sadr...
