You can get Frankfurters (that are actually a lot like our dawgs) packed in a can in Germany with either Regular or "Extra Knackig" casings.  I always chose the Extra.

do all of your oaks lose their leaves,  we always have most of the oak leaves hanging on until they start to bud out next spring, that's always what I start looking for to know it's spring,  usually late Feb or March.

Some hold on 'til spring.

Picked up QT Kate from tha airport an' had a bite of supper at tha BBQ buffet.

Finished 108 overall, fifth FC, them boys know how ta shoot smoke like MM sed.
I was RO for tha shoot-off, Sixgun Sallie and Marshal Harland Wolf sure made it look easy.

Miz Annie was second B Western, Camille was first Ladies Traditional, Stump sixth place men's Traditional.

Had a GREAT TIME!! Looking forward to next year already, if ya get a chance, Uprising at Swearing Creek is top notch, just as Scarlet Angel and Wicked Wayze, I figger they might jist come back again.

I love the box of truth.  Funny how he once again used the Sharps.  For one of his projects he proved that when it comes to the sharps, there is concealment, but there is no such thing as cover.

Notice how much he looks like someone else.

That was one of the first things I noticed.  Never would have known it weren't Rowdy ifn' you hadn't of said something.

I know... Just am not happy with the job and I don't want to get a house until I get that all worked out.

Of course... I've been there ten years now and unhappy for 9½. 

Don't wait.  I started Nov. 2 1996 at my job and I was headed to Virginia for school in Jan.  I was only to be here for 3 months.  Last Friday was my 15th anniversary.

There's some color here, but because it was so dry late in the season, most of the leaves turned brown and fell off.  At least I don't have to rake 'em.

37 here this morning, wind blew hard bout half the night looks like this morning gonna kick off with sunshine and just a lite wind , ought to be able to move that last house of birds, just give it about an extra hour to warm up a little before we start.

gonna go look at some gas powered wood spllitters this afternoon,  got to many big chunks to split by hand and I ain't too interested in doing it by hand either.  not as much fun as it used to be 20 years ago  

anybody got a woodsplliter or any recomendations?

I don't own one but I've used a few in my day. I've had to lift those BIG block up onto them. I've always thought that the hinged ones (like below) would save my back a bit of pain.


I also thought that the ones that attached to the tractor and used the tractor's hydraulics or PTO kinda made sense so ya don't have another engine to maintain.

It would be nice if the tractor mount ones could be at ground level so ya could just roll the logs onto it.

For the reall big stuff, 2 ft or more in diamiter, Grandpa alwasy liked the hand drill, a tablespoon of blasting powder a wooded plug, hunk a fuse and a kithen math.  One of them hydralic ones might be better, but not as much fun.

The wimmens were all sleepin’ again this mornin’ sos I said the heck with it ‘n flopped down myownself.  Woke up ‘n they’s gone.  One of ‘em done done the dishes.  Made me some coffee, grabbed one my favorite mugs out the drain rack ‘n filled ‘er up.

Musta been the l’il one what did the washin’.  Used soap on my mug.  Instead of that pure coffee aroma I got one mixed with dish detergent.  The big one knows better'n soapin' one my mugs.

That would be my choice. I've always used the ones you have to lift stuff onto. You could do all the easy stuff with it lying flat then stand it for the big stuff. Cool idea.

Been sizin’ them balls I cast yestiddy. They make up part of as good a load as I’ve ever used for this silly game, mebbe the best.  Damned if they ain’t messy ‘n a PITA ta handle though.  Done used Orange Magic on my hands ‘n followed that up with a good scrubbin’ with soap ‘n water ‘n I still got that Lee liquid alox on my hands.

Balls don’t wanna go thru the sizor without it.  Thems some tough balls outtah wheel weights.

Got ‘nuff done ta last me easy thru what I got planned fer awhile.  Think I’ll quit ‘til I need more.  That'll be 'bout Roundup time.
