Got the leaves raked bagged and throwed out to the curb. Hacked an old ugly green bush thing growing in the back. Hauled it to the curb also.

Grilled up some food was just finishing supper and the power went out.  We lit up a couple them "stinky" candles. Montana gets her cell calls Dominion, voice automated tells her it a large area tha's out.  ET 18 45 hrs. ...Machine voice ask if they should call her back when the power is back on.   Duh ::)  I guess we wouldn't notice clocks flashing the aquariam startin up and the lights coming back on.

Took the dog out and was out side and the lights come on....   Think I'll weed eat one more time tomorrow.

You may not have noticed it if you were sleeping.  Just think.  It's 1:00 AM, you are fast asleep... RING!!!!   Power's back on. ;D

...
I don't mind snow. It's always nice to have some by the Saturday before Thanksgiving which is the first day of deer gun season.

Having Knackwurst fer supper. It was a good deal at the grocery so decided to try it.

Slim

We had a surprise snow on Thanksgiving in 2000.  It was a heavy snow that didn't stick to anything because it was too warm, but purty anyway.

A good Knackwurst is "Knackig".  It's got plenty of "Snap" in the casing.  I'll be looking forward to a full report.  Sadly, I can't find the good stuff here. :(

Howdy, pards. Been a busy one today. Seaside first off and Carmel Valley Waaaaaaayyyyyyyy the heck out there, 1 1/2 hour drive one way only to get stood up because the tenant locked the gate so we couldn't get in. Renters aren't high in my esteem anyway and this is one example of why. Anyway, back now and getting ready to head out to my Rod & Gun Club meeting.

Well that's one you'd never have to worry about Trinity getting blamed for.... ;D
:D

Slim, keeping you in my thoughts about getting hired.  8)

Speaking of storms, this was taken in 91, 2 days after the storm that cancled Halloween and the first day of pheasant season. :o

That is Midnite, barely 1 year old and he's mighty proud of them first three pheasants he brought back.  Was -10 that day and the wind was blowing, notice the tree branches down in the yard at the farm.

Notice how much he looks like someone else. :)

never been sorry that I started buying early,   we've always tried to make that point to our kids.  but it's sure getting a lot harder with the price of houses today,
but if you can find one reasonably priced and get a loan, it's worth the time and trouble. ;D

I know... Just am not happy with the job and I don't want to get a house until I get that all worked out.

Of course... I've been there ten years now and unhappy for 9½.  ::)

The brand was "Deutsche Kücher". They were purty good. Purty much like a Brat sized natural casing hot dog from Niemuth's Steak and Chop Shop in Waupaca.  ;D

Slim, would that be Küche?

You can get Frankfurters (that are actually a lot like our dawgs) packed in a can in Germany with either Regular or "Extra Knackig" casings.  I always chose the Extra. ;D

do all of your oaks lose their leaves,  we always have most of the oak leaves hanging on until they start to bud out next spring, that's always what I start looking for to know it's spring,  usually late Feb or March.

they say this week into next will be the most color the leaves will have,  you see several tour busses going north of Ozark on the Pig trail, senic hiway, it runs north to Eureka Springs and Branson Mo.

We've finally got some color around here.  It's late by a couple weeks, but it's better than no color a'tall.

ours is a few weeks late too,  it's been plenty wet and warm an extra long time,  by this time most years most of the leaves have fallen.

99% of our trees are yellow.  Some oaks hold on to the leaves till spring, our common native oaks, the Burr Oaks and the Red Oaks do, what kind of Oaks do you have down there?

mostly red and whiite oaks, a few pin oaks and a few scrub

they've been having a lot of problems the last few years with boers  killing the red oaks.

The Reds stay close around here to the Missouri River around here, the majority are Burr Oaks, a few Pin Oaks around, but those are imports.

most of the pin oaks around here are in yards and down along the rivers,  up here on the mountain, mostly red and whites, probably more whites up here,
