That aint fair.  He picked the worst song they ever did an used it.  If you know Travis style picking Linsey is phenomanal.

I hate that song.

Travis style goes way back.  It's a way a man with one guitar can sound like several.  It always facinated me an I looked inta it one day.  Got perty good at it after awile.

I'll let the little kid splain it, he stumbles a bit.  This took me months to play.

Not the fretting, it's the pickin hand.  Travis ya do the bass line with yer thumb an use yer first three fingers fer the melody.  It usaly requires tuning the guitar different than standard, drop D is the most common but there are several other tunings.
In classical ya just use yer thumb and first two fingers and the guitar is tuned standard.  Now Flemenco... aww nevermind.

Yep.  A mandolin has ta be picked cause them little strings in just too close tagether an all doubled up.  A feller can work a tenor banjo specialy with a handfull of finger picks, but they aint neccesary.

At's funny about the tenor Banja..... Got one up on the mantle. It's old and cracked and warped.... just like it, it was Dad's

My Little Bro. has his good Gibson Banjo and mandolin'.

I always liked the steel gitar but never played one.
