That's what I was saying might be .. but no had facts ( not as far as OT's anyway)
all of mine are 8'' except the one 72 OT and it's 7 1/2"..  but no others at todays shoot.

I saw a shooter today with two 5 1/2" Remy's w/ R&D cyl.  he was quick too...
Just about everyone else had OMV's @ 4 7/8"  and then there was a fellow with pair of Charles Daly's in 4 5/8"...

I gave up on the Type 2 and just bought RM in 44 colt in both 5.5 and 8" from Cimarron.  I think I will pass on the Type 2 even when they eventually are available sometime in the next 10 years (cowboy sarcasm).   Safe shooting.  Deadeye.

I won't say I have given up,  but I will say it's on the back burner and at low heat .
Since I ordered mine, I have found/lucked  ;) into two Type 1's...in both cases, I used the Type II money to buy them.
I did some trading and got one of the Forged Frame Remington Conversions and some more trading to get the Steel Henry.
While I was at it , I picked up a CWC 44cal. Revolver at a good price.

I could use a breather... gun money wise   :P
