Y’all that know the genre, I could use a l’il assistance. Ya see, I saw a NASCAR promo with a country band in it. The lead singer looked familiar but I couldn’t place ‘im. Ennyways, I search thru youtube ‘n track down the song then run the video up. Now I’m really messed up.

The lead singer I think I’ve pegged as lookin’ like a guy I’ve shot cowboy with in Carolina. He’s got ‘im a Billy Gibbons knit cap fetish is all. Lookin’ it some the others, the fiddle player looks sumthin’ like Chuck Panozzo when Chuck was still healthy. The guy on the keyboards looks a l’il like a young Waylon Jennings. The bass player, in profile ‘n a couple angles, looks like one the Vikings in the Capital One commercials. The lead guitar dude looks familiar too ‘n it seems like someone that ugly I’d remember but I don’t. Thinkin’ I’ve seen ‘im with other bands. He doesn’t show on the band’s website ‘n he’s not with the band when they did the anthem for the Shoot Out last year. The guy on stage with ‘em that looks like Carl Edwards in the NASCAR promo is - Carl Edwards.

If anyone knows of the band, any info would be appreciated. Pretty good song, BTW.

Good song, but 'scuse me if I don't click on it.  Get the Top 40 when I'm in the WD and they overplay and kill any thing. I like their "As she was walking away" with Alan Jackson real good.  Lot of bluegrass influence in it.  Current one "Colder Weather" has far run it's course, local station plays it about every hour instead of every 2.

She'd trade Colorado if he'd take her with him
Closes the door before the winter lets the cold in,
And wonders if her love is strong enough to make him
stay,
She's answered by the tail lights
Shining through the window pane

He said I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
She said you're a ramblin' man
And you ain't ever gonna change
You gotta gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin

At a truck stop diner just outside of Lincoln,
The night is black as the coffee he was drinkin',
And in the waitress' eyes he sees the same 'ol light a
shinin',
He thinks of Colorado
And the girl he left behind him

He said I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
She said you're ramblin' man
And you ain't ever gonna change
You got a gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin' (born for leavin')

Well it's a windin road
When you're in the lost and found
You're a lover I'm a runner
And we go 'round 'n 'round
And I love you but I leave you
I don't want you but I need you
You know it's you who calls me back here, Baby

Oh I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
Cause I'm a ramblin' man
I ain't ever gonna change
I gotta gypsy soul to blame
And I was born for leavin' (born for leavin')

When I close my eyes I see you
No matter where I am
I can smell your perfume through these whispering pines
I'm with your ghost again
It's a shame about the weather
But I know soon we'll be together
And I can't wait till then
I can't wait till then

We call it the Shoemakers Truck Stop song, my daughter is a cashier there, drives her nuts cause folks ask all the time if it's the one from the song.  Yep, only one on I-80 near Lincoln.  song ain't bad though, just heard it to many time.

Reckon tiz Zac Brown. That’s what the title sez ennyways. Watched both the chicken vids ‘n that guitarist ain’t with ‘em in those neither. Still think I’ve seen ‘im before. Could have joined up for the night fer giggles.

Grandboy #1 has a pair of them damned shoes what light up Brown was talkin’ about in the ‘Sic ‘im on the chicken’ thing. Left ‘em in the middle of the den floor then they all found a bed. Ole Arcey goes walkin’ thru the den it o’dark thirty ‘n kicked ‘em. All kindsa colored light goes scurryin' 'n blinkin' ‘cross the floor. Forgot why I was up wonderin’ what kinda strange creature I done kicked ta death.……………

Think the rack’s a good place ta ponder it all ‘n the time is right. Nitey-nite, y’all.

Usin the middle finger fer the slide is a little different.  She does have it down good though.  I was showin off fer ma wife one night and picked up a glass candle holder an went ta town.  Most folks use the pinky or ring finger to make playing chords easier.
