I bet the Pietta 1860 Army Conversions will fit...(maybe Kirst or R&D)the cylinders and barrels interchange I fiigure the conversions will too. I don't have a .44 1851 at this time, but I may have to get one for my 1860 and get another 1851 .44 to see. If anyone has one already please give it a check fit and let us know.
Thanks!

Now this is just heresay......

Talked with a friend and fellow opentop shooter this weekend. They have two pairs on order through their dealer. They are in customs right now and should be released by the end of the month. These are Opentops, 4 3/4, 38sp. Can't comment about any others.

Very nice and interesting...they have an excellant gunsmith at Taylors i am told...a guy that will talk to you listen and advise when you call. Will also make any deal right with you that you purchased for them. Or fix a problem you that you may have bought elsewhere.
Good customer service.

I want a pair of these!

Would rather have .44 Special, though.

   ???

The importer makes no difference as they are all the same. Cimarron only has Uberti stamp their guns in a more authentic manner.

Sweettooth Taylor's is a distributor of the Uberti Open Tops and Richards-Masons, along with Other BP revs and long guns. Go to the website I posted on the previous page and order the one you want, they sell them now.

thanks for the reply . I have been try to go through Philip Rezac. He has a good price but last word from him they were still in customs . I will give him a call tomorrow.
I have a pair of opentops in .38 5 1/2 and several ubertis model ps from various distributers, also a 73 rifle from cimarron. What I'm saying is I know how the manufacturer distributer relationship works. I just would prefer these new pistols to be taylors. A lower msrp means a lower wholesale to the dealer.depending on his status with his distributer. Also buying  out of state  saves me a bunch of tax and my ffl is almost free.
Thats why I wanted to know if any had hit the open market yet. Sometimes what is offered is not yet available

And no Mr, fox creek kid they are not all the same. Looks like, tastes like, feels the same but each imported has their own quaility control issues. also customer service , which when buying a conversion or opentop customer service is important. I have been happy with my cimarrons and their service . I have just heard some good things about taylors and figured Id give them a try.

??? Huh?  ALL importers of Uberti receive the SAME quality of guns. There is NO difference other than stampings. Cimarron HAD the exclusivity on the Open Tops until now as did Navy Arms with the Russian models. Harvey Lane, who was the mgr. for Cimarron for years & who used to post here, scoffed at anyone who thought Cimarron or any other importer for that matter received "best quality" arms from Italy as they all come off the same assembly line and are finshed the same. If one company gives you better prices or better service than so be it, spend your money there but rest assured it is the same at Taylor's, EMF, Navy Arms, etc. The only difference being the stamping.  ;)

I spoke with Don at Taylors yesterday and he said their getting in a box here and a box there but the 51 Richard Mason conversion pistols aren't here yet. Was going to go the R&D route or Kirst but I might go for the RM 51 conversion instead. Not really in love with the looks with the ejector assy though. Would perfer the loading lever underneath but that's just me.
Buy American as the job you save might be your own!
