Another Oddity?
« on: March 31, 2006, 12:12:27 AM »
Going over the USFA web site I noticed something on their Custer Battlefield Gun page. ( http://www.usfirearms.com/cat/custer-gun.asp )  They show a picture of the barrel address and note that it, "Features early style “script” barrel address as found on guns produced before 1876 and the slanted cross at each end unique to this model."
I have a 7&1/2", nickel plated .45, cross-pin frame, that I special ordered about 2 years ago and it has this exact style barrel address.  Anyone else have a gun, other than the Battlefield Gun, that has this type of address line?

I've got a 7 1/2" .45 China Camp purchased in late 2001 that is marked just as you mentioned.
