Plainsmen side matches

 Hello the fire

 Let me drag up a stump and plant my rump down before I begin.
 

 Ahh. That's better.

 Now where was I?  Oh yeah!  I got asked to headup the side matches at our annual Ambush at Cavern Cove shoot this year and I've got a bee in my bonnet, so to speak, and thought we'd try a Plainsmen side match.
 Problem is I've never even shot one just read in the rule bok what it say's but I've heard other clubs do necessarirly do it by the book.
 How does your club do it and what are your likes and dislikes? I'd rather do it all blackpowder and c&b pistols but thought I'd ask around and see how others do it.
 So, fire away, I'm sittin comfortable.
