Very nice. I assume the top one is chambered for the 44 Russian cartridge. What is the little brother chambered for? And are they in good enough condition to shoot? With black powder of course. (smile)

I have a small collection of the No. 2 frame S&Ws chambered in .38 Smith & Wesson. The bottom is a 1st model Single-action .38 aka the 'Baby Russian.' I acquired the 3rd Model Russian (commercial) for exhibit comparison. Both are shootable and I probably will.
Did the big Russian ever have a spur on the triggerguard? I don't recall if any of those were made without the spur.
Yes, the daddy Russian originally had the spur. At some point in its life, it was very neatly removed.
