Terry Lane figured out how to use our state outdoor education center and let people have some winter fun
Thank you for posting this. We have have been holding similar Cowboy Action Shoots at a local indoor range for the past nine years. We typically shoot three Pistol only, three Rifle only and one Wild Bunch stage. Afterwards we go out for a few beers and and a burger. It helps break up the winter here in southeastern Wisconsin.

There will be an Indoor Western Action Shoot at the 2018 NCOWS Convention in Davenport, Iowa.

Yes, because of where I had to cook I had to use charcoal.  Came out well though.

That's quite a spread you put out there Del. I'm getting hungry looking at it. I know our group would rather taste your fine cooking than those greasy hamburger's.

Send a C-130. I can get my friend Ron also, we'll load the loaded pickups and come.

Coffee and tea are hot.

'Tis 29 and overcast. "Windy. Partly sunny in the morning  then cloudy with a chance of light rain and snow in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s. East wind 10 to 20 mph increasing to 20 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 40 mph. Chance of precipitation 50 percent."

That's a tempting offer. I had some friends of mine who were in the 440th out of Milwaukee. They had C-119's and then C-130's. Problem is most of these guys are now in their 80's or close to it.

Ron comes in and buys 5 Powerball tickets for every drawing.   When it was real high a while back he came in and asked what he should buy if he won it.

Told him a C-130 to haul our pickups to events.  He joked he'd have to ask Mary.  Next time he was in he said that it was ok with her, but we had to hire a pilot or we couldn't take Lucy their Basset Hound with us. ;D

I'll fly it for you.  ::)

Afternoon all.

Sunny and 45 in California.  Supposed to start that way for the rest of the week now.  We'll see.
Going to run some errands in a while.  Need some wood glue to fix a chair, some pine shavings for the chickens and to go set up an appointment at the mechanic for my truck.  Some internet searching has pointed me towards either a bad solenoid or a bad clutch pack.  The solenoid will be about $250 to fix.  The clutch pack will be around $1200.  If it's the clutch pack, I'm just going to swap out the automatic for a five speed manual.

If I won the Lottery, one of the first things I'd do would be buy some some land and build a Cowboy Action range centered around a period correct Old West town along with a nice campground. I'm going to add a C-130 to my list.

They landed a 130 on my uncle's aircraft carrier just before he got there.  A couple years ago the Oregon national guard landed one at the airport here in my town, which is 3,070 feet max.  Impressive birds.

They have landed C130 on many Air Craft Carriers.  They sometimes just unload cargo as they go by. Never touching down.

Morning brew going.  Point system doesn’t allow for a Krispy Kreme. So i am going without this morning. ( translates to - none in the house)

March’s lion made a wet visit this morning- now pushing into Georgia.  More lambish this afternoon. Got chicks i am ready to move to a small coupe. But need to make sure there is not flooding first.

Long story, never work out, but it almost happened about 12-13 years ago.   Knew ahead of time it was going to be a don't tell.  No reason to do reqiuired flight hours empty.

Evening Y'all, supposed to get hit tomorrow with another Nor'easter, Weather liars are calling for 10 to 16 inches of the evil white stuff, still about 70,000 people in the area without power, this isn't going to help things any. Where the heck is spring?
