I'm sorry that your thread got hijacked.  My remark regarding comedians was fuel to the fire rather than an extinguisher.  So much that even I got sucked in.

To make it up to you I offer the following research:

There is no mention of "Slanting Annie" in the Mater Index of the Time-Life Old West series.

However there are the following sections regarding Creede, Colorado:

page 185 of The Gamblers.

pages 14-15 and pages 34-38 of The Townsmen.

and

pages 78-79 of The Women.

Wouldn't this have to be called "The Originals Comedian" class to go along with the period correct jokes?
