Chiappa Barrel Threads (1892)
« on: February 09, 2016, 04:17:57 PM »
Hello!  I know this isn't a question about a '76, but does anyone know if the barrel threads on the Chiappa 1892 Winchesters are the same as the original.  I've got an original 1892 badly in need of a barrel, and original barrels are about impossible to find (at least that I can afford.)

By the way, I shoot an Uberti '76 in .45-60 and love it!

I have no ideas about the threads, but have you considered re-lining it? I hear lots of good results from that.

That's just it, I don't really have anything to reline.  It had been (badly) converted to .44 Special with some weird aftermarket barrel.  If I had the original I would definitely just have it relined.
