Hammer--ifyou are thinking of a double side by side, go get a 10guage m/l . I got one that I built myself and it raises all billy hell on gooses.

I have a GH grade parker in 10, 2 7/8 chamber, it was my grandfathers. Have thought about getting some shells from rst, and putting it back to work. Im just hell on a shotgun when im hunting.

I'm not opposed to modern tech, but with the exception of a TC 22 classic I bought 15 years or so ago, the most modern thing I've got in my safe is a pair of M14's, one stock, the other with a medium weight barrel and Nightforce scope. 

I don't carry, but if the need arose I'd pack my bedside companion, a Kimber 1911.  I appreciate the design and reliability of the Glock, but it doesn't "feel" rite to me and I've got a log of rounds through the 1911 and am proficient with it.
