After reading about various impressions here.  I thought it would be interesting for those current members of The Originals to put their impressions into the "My Chosen Alias" section here at Cas City.

Howdy Will,

Better late than never!

My Cas City Cowboy Profile is my Originals persona.  This is a persona that I have used for 25 years.  For CAS, I simply picked the year that I wanted to start my portrayal and then back dated my birth year to fit.  I chose 1875 to allow the use of a SAA Colt and an 1873 Winchester.  I chose to be a Mexican War vet. who did not participate in the 1861-65 war.  I don't know much about the ACW and want to keep it that way.  I include at trip to Europe and the Orient to allow a more diverse wardrobe, being interested in clothes at least as much as shooting.

I chose a 3 piece sack suit for my Originals outfit.  Added a derby, brogans. band collar shirt and a plain gun belt and holster.  There is a picture of Bill Hickock wearing this type of shirt and a vest without lapels, which I also wear as part of my suit.  Another photo is of a reunion of men who fought in the battle of San Jacinto which took place in 1871.  Of the about 20 men in the picture 5 - 7 were wearing band collar shirts, vests without lapels, and brogans.  Pictures of bowler hast are no problem.  As a re-enactor, I found this process interesting and not at all difficult.
