S unny and almost 60 here, can't get out and enjoy it much, hip's giving me fits for the last few days. Gonna try and put brakes on the Blazer this afternoon, can do most of that job sitting down.

Had the HVAC thermostat go south yesterday. Thought it was just batteries, but replacing them didn't help, so today was a trip to the Big Box store for a replacement. Luckily the overnight temps were just below 50 and we’re looking at 60 for a high today.

Had the marinade chicken last night (turned out great). Tonight is pizza night so I’m off the hook for cooking.

Going to do Chili Dogs tonight. (No beans in the chili on dogs)

Still no clue for supper tonight. Slim's Packers are holding their against the Seahawks. They can't keep settling for Field goals instead of TDs.

Nice variety of weather we got. Rained kinda heavy once. Smatterin' 'n tryin' ta clear off. Sky was fantastic early with the clouds 'n all.

Hadda put batteries in last weekend. Thermostat werked the whole time. Low icon flashed a week.

Found the Gcpair together this mornin'. Both flew. Almost had him where I wanted him but no cigar – or image of him 'n the GC's American Flag in the same shot. I'll get it. Patience.

She was right funny this mornin'. Great Blue Heron got 'im a big carp. Took 'im a while ta get it just right but he managed ta swallow the thing. She was delighted with the show.

Look the bird's gut. Gezeezz.

Get home 'n look it the NEF birds 'n freaked when she saw what was left of 'Skippy' layin' in the nest.

That tree rat won't be raidin' nobody's bird feeder again.

Doin' hot dogs 'n fries between games. Forgot about the idea.

Darned insurance companies....

Blue Cross went up $60+ a month for this year, so during open season, I switched to the Rural Carrier insurance, only went up $3.

Blue cross finished on 1/9/15.

still waiting to hear from Rural carrier benefit plan.

Govt still sending money from my paycheck to Blue Cross.

And I'm tired of my hip hurting, but ALL these insurance companies are off for the holiday.......

Definitely not looking forward to medicare....

Not sure how it's gonna work for me, since I'm an "old dad", when I get to medicare age, I'll have a 10 and 14 year old, and a wife with 15 more years before she can get it, so I'll still have to buy insurance for them.

The high today was supposed to be 53 but it’s already above 54 and we’re not at noon yet.

Steaks on the grill tonight as we will be celebrating “She Who Still Works” not having to work today. She gets two Sundays, so tomorrow will be my second Monday (that means I get to delay doing the laundry until tomorrow).

I thawed out the Jambalaya to heat up for supper tonight, with a green salad. Moose was off today in honor of MLK day. It was nice to have her at home today.
