New Colt, unfired until this morning..
« on: July 08, 2014, 02:17:38 PM »
Metal work signed by J. Harper.  Ivory by J. Alaimo.  I'm the 2nd owner of a "shipped in the white", Colt.  Unfired until a few minutes ago :o.   Had 3 engraved Colts over the years.  Never been able to justify keeping one, let alone shooting them.  Thankfully times change.

This one is a very nice gun.  Short line, 45 Colt, marked on the barrel side, two line address, circle Colt tradeark and rounded cylinder.

Gramps would approve I think.  It's his old watch pictured with my new gun.  Figure they will both easily go another hundred years.

yahoody, Boy that's what I'd be saying it that one was mine.
It really needs to be shot & carried, it'll turn heads wherever it goes.
A true BBQ Colt!

Not a fan of engraved stuff but from an esthetic point of view it's pretty good. It would need a custom skeleton holster to show it off to the best effect if you carry it.
Trouble is...when I'm paid to do a job, I always carry it through. (Angel Eyes, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly)

I think they look better once shot a few 1000 rounds.
Had this one hot enough today to burn the hand.
It is a shooter for sure.....pure luck that BTW.

YOM?
Serial number is S73XXXA.  Late last year I think.  May be early 2014.  But I am just guessing.  Anyone know for sure?
