Good Mornin' y'all.
The rodeo was pretty great last night. For an opener, they had the local 4-H, FFA, VFW and Clamper piper/drumers pull out a very large flag (about 40' x 75'). Then there was a local prodigy that sang the National Anthem. After that, they had a local bass singer read a poem called "That Old Ragged Flag." Then, we had the rodeo. Kid from Fallon, Nv took first. He was given a 2014 Dodge 1/2 ton pick-up truck, a 24k gold belt buckle that was half the size of Montana, with genuine rubies and hand engraved custom patterns, and a $500 cash prize.
There was a dance afterwards with live music from a locally popular "modern country" band. They weren't bad, for modern country.
Couldn't convince the mother that I needed to stay. Maybe something about it being 11 o'clock at night....
