Well, there are in fact reproductions of M1903s being done even as we speak, mostly of the a4 sniper configuration, but there seems to be a demand for them. As to 98ks, we've yet to reach the bottom of the millions done among various country's prewar, wartime and post war. There is a subset out there that claims "Mitchells Mausers" are little better than reproductions.
All of which is academic: If Mike Harvey thinks he can sell them, he'll build them. If he don't, he won't.
As for a suitable venue, well, that would be us!
