Why are there red dots in my Alliant Red Dot powder?  ???

I believe it is simply to give a visual identification of the powder.  I don't rely on that but I am very careful in keeping powders well associated with the factory container.

The same reason there are green dots in their Green Dot powder & blue dots... Well, you get it.
