Not a 76 but a Winchester 73 just for you to compare. I hope it will be useful.D-hansen
I'm trying, but am having issues.D-Hansen
Pitchy, the half cock notch on my original 1876s is pretty extreme! Close to a half inch easy. Odd, until you mentioned it, I had not really noticed it! My Uberti, 76 is more like the 73 shown above.Since the Chappie 76 is supposed to be closer to the original, you may have a "bunch of notch," Amigo!
.35" at half cock from the hammer face to the back side of the firing pin with the firing pin pushed to its forward position. Two 1873's and one 1876 all measured very close to that .35"D-Hansen
I never was very good at decimals, turn things on the lathe until it fits what is that in inches 3/8ths?Here`s a picture of mine.
