Johnny McCrae and I have been discussing forming a Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin posse since early last year. We have three committed members and interest from a couple more. Right now we do not have a range at which to hold shoots but we are working on that. There are some indoor ranges in the area that would be willing to let us do some shoots.

Please let us know if you are interested in join our border posse.  Even if you live a little farther away than the border you may find we are the closest (and best!) thing going.

Well, c'mon pards. Step on up.

Johnny and GW are both great fellows and I think you can count on their outfit being a first-class posse. I'd be great to have a new club in this geographical area as well, so now's the time.

Best wishes GW and you folks let us know if we can assist in some way.

I'd love to join! But.....unless I had my own airplane, I don't think I could make it to many shoots.

If you are wating for a reply from me I'm just not doing any shooting these days so I wouldn't be interested in joining another posse.

After primitive camping and shooting with you guys at the National shoot and the Midwest Reg. you KNOW you can count me in.
Rockford would be about 1 1/2 hours for me. Hopefully we could get a place where we could camp also. I've camped with
Johnny 3 times and G.W, twice but we seem like we've been friends for years. I know of another ncows member who may be
interested, I'll see him next Sun. if he doesn't post something here

G.W. & J.M., Kind Sirs,
'Ol Gabe here, haven't been hooked up with a Posse since the demise of THITWG/The Hole In The Wall Gang back around the turn of the century. Due to worn out body pieces-parts ain't had a chance to get out much neither and I really miss knockin' down them Buffler targets with B.T.B. chuckling in the background.
So, if you need member numbers please count me in, I might even be able to wrangle Eastern Earl in as well, we both live in Eastern Ioway so it'd be a bit of a drive but not so bad if we have a motel close by the range. Don't camp anymore, even though my heart and soul are filled with pleasant dreams about dozing under canvas my knees and back ain't showing any interest.
Let me know via PM here if you need us to round out the numbers.
Best regards and good shooting!

We would be glad to have you. Will you be knocking down buffalos this fall with BTB? I plan on being there.

Well, G.W.,
If'n the joints cooperate and the weather is convivial within certain parameters and my grandsons' B-day ain't that weekend, Eastern Earl & I might just be able to hobble around down at Milan and make a bunch of the other good shooters laff and guffaw a bit as we try to locate and spin up some divots near the buff targets, HAH!
Of course, aches & pains call the shots daily so we'll try as things fall into place.
Hey, B.T.B., any date locked in yet for Milan this Fall? My Buffler rifle is moaning from disuse and needs to be fed again soon, besides, a cup of your most amazing and exceptional Buffler Chili wouldn't hurt much either to ease my pain!
Best regards and stay in touch regarding the possibility of the Posse G.W.

Ol Gabe its great to hear from you!  The fall buffler shoot is Sat. Oct. 19th, with a cowboy shoot on Sunday. Besides the
2 herd buffalo shoot I'm working on a Billy Dixon side match. Let's have the old Ackley shooters show the SASS guys
how its done. It sounds like we are going to have a few primitive camps also, so after the buff shoot we can get
together and discuss this new NCOWS posse. I'm going to a cowboy shoot there this Sun and hope to iron out the
details, I've really had a good time at NCOWS shoots this year and would love to get another posse nearby

I wish you two eight-balls (  ;) ) all the best luck.  I wish I could say I'd be able to join ya, like you have joined us at GLFMC (and hopefully someday at SMVS,) but I'm with you in spirit!

To everybody else lookin' here: I've had the honour of shooting numerous times with Johnny McCrae and after this year's NCOWS 2013 National Shoot, with GW.  These guys are Numero Uno types and they'll make sure you have a great time!
