Henry accuracy
« on: July 23, 2013, 09:58:56 AM »
For our upcoming annual CAS event, I came up with a 'Blue Duck' side match that consists of 5 steel chickens painted blue at 100 yds.

You get to shoot them from a saddle rest and for those whose protuberance disallows prone, you can sit. No time limit, but to start, you must cluck like the bad ass with the Sharps in "Lonesome Dove", doing your best prairie chicken imitation.

I know Gus didn't shoot 'Blue Duck' but you get the picture ....

I've won it 5 years running with my Uberti Henry, but the boys are gunning for me this year. Rumour has it there's been some serious practice going on ....

FWIW - my load is a 200 gr RNFP over 6 grs of Red Dot. Works for me.
