Thanks, fellers. I found a local dealer who will get me a pair of Cimarron model "P"s reasonably, and back them up if they're not "right". I think I know the drill with Ubertis, I have a couple of percussion Navies, and they took some fiddling with to get smooth.
Ab-Bill, I've got just short of a year on my green pony, getting her to be an all-around using horse. She just turned four, Sunday was her second time in the arena with shooters. Ear plugs made all the difference in the world for her, but I've yet to pop off some caps from her back. My wife's 10 year old mare was totally new to this as well, but she didn't even flinch. ?? It's definitely more about the horsemanship than about the shooting . . . I can't remember when I've had more fun, though !
