Lee hand Press set-up

Bought one the other day and built a box for it and other stuff. Makes for a load anywhere set-up that is pretty handy.
I really like it and have been loading 45-70`s with it with no effort.
The pictures show a beam scale in the box but today i ordered a Hornady digital scale which will lay flat and fit in the box better.
I also built a powder box and hung that huge padlock i made on it.

Hey Pitchy I like that set-up.I'm wanting to put together a portable reloading box ,somthing basic for reloading empty cartridge's at the ranch. I alway's carry a few rifles and lot's of cartridges but like to reload what I may shoot there in the evening's . For my .45 colt I have an old I deal hand tool ,and I have Winchester .45-75 wcf loading tool ,and also one for the .40-60 wcf. Need to build somthing like you did to carry them in .You gave me some idea's . Thank's Pitchy......Dusty.

Well thank you bro, its a work in progress but i really like the Lee press it is very smooth and plenty of leverage.

I'm glad to see that someone else has seen the virtues of the LEE hand press.  A great piece of kit!

Nice box, but it would have been quicker, and just as cheep to go to Crappy Tyre and buy a cheep plastic toolbox

I like the wood box,plus you can make it just like you want.  No plastic for me .Pitchy I think I will build me one .I'll put a drop tube set-up in it. That hand press look's like the ticket. Have you ever used one of the pliers type hand tool ,They also have plenty of leverage and are so dang simple . I can resize , prime, seat and crimp ,in a flash. Plus you can realy carry them in your saddle bag's .

Yepper, the Lyman 310 tool, here`s mine set up for 45-60.
The Lee tool some dies and a dipper would fit in a canvas bag and carry nice too.

I carry my lee hand press, dies, Hornady GS-1200 scale and tools in saddle bags but the box is a good idea for sure. I have a couple of the Old Ebenezer boxes I got from Dixie Gun Works about a year ago. I modified one by adding handles and a latch so I can take it with me if needed.

I took the little round handle off , first picture and shortened the top so it closed flush. Then i put a block of wood on for the hadle so i could mount the measure on the lid.
Got a Hornady 1500 digital scale coming Tuesday we`ll see how that works, it will lay flat in the box and make more room.

Nice outfit! I use the Lee "Thighmaster" handloader exclusively for 32, 32-20 and 45lc and love the slow and mind engaging process, unlike a turret press. I have a Winchester 32-20 original plier type loader, but it's worn out and doesn't size the cases well enough for my new barrel liner. Did you get the new model with the quick change collar?

I really like mine though I have a RCBS beam scale I bought used. I also got the Hornady scale used when I bought a friends loading setup when I got started reloading.

Looks just like the Hornady one i`m getting, probably is the same without the fancy name.
