The kind of answer I expected from you.  You have no idea when a subject is so serious that stupid jokes should not be added.  I'm done with it, since you know so much go ahead and tell everyone how how to be safe shooting blanks in ren-actments.  I know I myself would never get involved with someone like you in the group and the folks I work with would never allow you in the group, the chance of their insurance rates going up a lot or being canceled are too great.

Oh wait, I was going to mention this further on, but I'll let Yeti explain how much insurance you should have when doing this sort of thing, where to buy it or even better how to explain how the guy you "shot" on purpose has permanent disabilities when it turns up you are not insured for such a thing.

Go ahead Yeti, you are on stage.

Nothing, just someone decided to make a joke out of a serious subject and I called him on it and he still thinks he's funny.

Wow, now that we have the jokes out of the way.
If you will go to this RGA link  http://www.rgamerica.org , insurance is included as part of your membership dues, this is an individual insurance so you do not have to preform as a group for it to cover your reenactment but if multiple persons are participating it is encouraged that all participants are RGA members.
You do have to follow the bylaws and safety rules of the RGA.

Thank you John, I had planned to let a little of the other sink in before I even thought about mentioning liability.  When you take on renacting with blanks you take on some very serious responsibilities and you want to be 200% sure of the other person holding a firearm.
