Well Lumpy, I stated verifiable FACTS, not specultion, not "some guy said", not "they ought to know". "They" don't know any more about the longevity or the failure rate of windmills NATION WIDE than the auto mechanic knows how many Toyotas are still running after ten years of service. “They” don’t know any more about what the carbon footprint of a windmill is than a Veterinarian knows how much cow flop is in a particular pasture. I understand that you are opinionated, and that’s perfectly all right, you know what they say about opinions. But what do you base your opinions on? I have verifiable facts, what do you have?
YOU need to come out here to Mojave, Ca. and see the number of 'dead' mills and the ones that never got finished.
Say, did I mention about the ones that have blown over ?.......
I drive past them twice a week to the trap range, turning 100'+ blades.
BTW, one of my sources is the GM for that 'farm'. He's lay'n OFF repair crews because the money is not coming in for repairs, when they have the $$$. They can't get the parts. He knows more about them 'mills than you ever will......
Just keep beat'n the drum about how great those 'mills are, because THEY AIN'T.......Just like those ele. cars are going to save us.
I'll stick with my panels, and pretty much "0" ele. costs each month.
Carry on
