red dot for shotshell
« on: March 18, 2012, 04:14:40 PM »
Was wondering what charge of red dot to use for CAS.  The loading data I have is geared more for skeet.  Would like something a little lighter.  I use Winchester AA hulls.

Thanks

Like always if you can't find reliable source from a well know source such as a powder company, don't do it.  Don't use any data from someone else who doesn't quote the source and double check it anyway.

From Alliant load data, and close to a favorite of several top shooters. Win AA or Rem STS hulls, Good Luck :)

This is pretty much the standard load.  I use it, and it does the job, Trap, Skeet, CAS.  I wouldn't go any lower, its a good load as it is, and shooting 500 in a weekend isn't hard to do.
