Perhaps it fit the '71-72 Opentop?
Not quite. The open top was chambered in .44 rimfire but apparently the only ammo that fit was the Stetson designed version with a swaged bullet. I believe there was a small run of SAA made for the .44 Henry, but I'm too tired to look it up tonight.
