Oddly The Grip Worked Great
« on: September 03, 2011, 09:47:42 PM »
I had matching grips made for my matching Colt .45s. I really didn't like the feel of them as they felt very thin. I used one of'm in a local SASS match today and they worked great. I have large palms but my fingers are short in comparison. I'd have never believed it.
I will still do some fine reshaping but generally I'm not going to change much.
Yes, I do have more facial hair now.

The grips fitted to the original Colts of the era are fitted much more closely than those of today.

If your efforts are achieving that early type of fitting - I think your shooting will be more natural and more comfortable, too.

Hope so.

All of mine duplicate the old 'Cavalry' style of close fitting and feel just right to my hand.
