Dusty:

As I'm sure you know pricing on these old No.3's is going to be dictated by condition.  Hard to tell by that picture.

Need to look at:

bore and rifling
hinge, cylinder, ejector, and top latch condition, fit, & function
Hammer, cylinder, & trigger timing and function.
signs of refinish
Grips:  original?  cracking?

Just based on that picture and considering it to be "fully functioning", value could be any where from $500 to $1600.

You do know that the .32 44 was developed about 1903 right?

Yepper.  It is being offered as a trade for me to flip for cash.  I have now discovered that it has "personalized" grips (name carved in) and a bobbed barrel.  Probably shoots any value in the head.

What value is the seller putting on that gun?

I like the cut of it myself. Not sure about availability of the round but I could see adding something like that to my collection if the price is right.  ;D

You OUGHT to be able to shoot .32 S&W Long out of it and likely .32 S&W Short out of it.
It's really to light for self defense or hunting but it might be a good plinker. If you can reload
for it, it ought to be a fun gun just to pot cans with.

Sounds interesting. I've got a boat load of .32 S&W rounds ready to shoot.

Mind if I ask what the price of the gun is?
