Hi Gang,

As some of you know, in real life I'm Mike Beliveau and I write for "Guns of The Old West" magazine.

Recently I started a face book fan page for my writing and I need to get 25 pards to "Like" my page before Facebook will let me set up a URL so I can direct folks right to it.

So, if you are on Facebook, and you read my stuff... and if you like it

...I'd appreciate it if you would find my page and like me there.

I have to confess that I'm a complete idiiot about using Facebook, but if you do a Facebook search on "Mike Beliveau" I'll come up with the word "page" under my name.

I have a lot of pictures posted of my article and of guns...there's links to my Youtube shooting videos...lot's of stuff and more going up all the time. So, please stop by.

BDM I like you too. In fact I would be surprised if not everyone that reads Guns of The Old West doesn't really enjoy your articles. You have helped a bunch of us over the years with tech advice that works too. I'll never forget your gunsmithing school project and I will remember it while I am ~~facing~~ Facebooking the lid on the pine box too.

However, I am on line mostly from work and at night. The administrators never heard of CAS City and I am careful to always clear history, but the rascals have Facebook, Ebay, any kind of stuff on U tube all blocked and I have never found my way around it. I could not even bring up Marshal Halloways link. I still like you though. We still need to shoot together sometime too.

Sounds like my former place of employment. I could understand the Facebook, Ebay, etc, otherwise everyone would have spent the day on those sites. But they also blocked blogs, anything that concerned guns, and other "offensive" sites. Ironically, these blocks also kept me from accessing news sites, which is usually what I needed to access as part of my job.

If I'd still been working there, I wouldn't have been able to log on to CAS City, let alone BDM's U tube.

Somewhere near my name there should be a big button that says "Like".

For all of you who told me you aren't on Facebook, I totally understand. I am not big on all the social media stuff either. But over the last year several people have convinced me that I needed to boost my presence on the "Interweb"...and I'm trying.

I'm no Luddite, but I am an old dog, and these new tricks don't come easy.
