Another vintage holster
« on: March 22, 2011, 06:58:23 AM »
Guys, there was another vintage holster for sell on the Wire Classifieds this morning.  Do not know anything about prices and do not know the individual selling it so this is for your info only, kinda...  The guy did an excellent job of photoing this holster, with good shots front and rear.  There are some unique construction and style techniques used on it that I really found interesting.

If anyone has an interest in this type item I would like to have an idea on its age and original value.  Im just guessing that it would have been well into the early 1900s or a bit later and not a particularly high end piece with its two piece construction style???  Please enlighten me.

Slowhand,

I think what we are seeing in the two piece configuration is that the width of the skirt is considerably larger than the belt slot...so it would have been easier to make it two piece rather than trying to get that large skirt through the slot and possible damaging the tooling....Just my opinion
