I saw the new Heritage Arms .45 caliber SA the other day at a store (Fin, Feather, Fur) in Ashland, Ohio. They had two .45's, one with a 7 1/2" barrel and one with a 5 1/2" barrel. Both were in stainless steel. I didn't handle them since the gun counter was pretty busy and I was in a hurry. I did talk to one of the employees at the other end of the counter and asked his opinion of them. He had not fired one but said that he had expected the price to be lower since the price of the Heritage Rough Rider in .22 caliber is quite low.
Their price for either one of the .45's was $349.99. Considering that they sell the .22 caliber for about $109 compared to the Ruger Single Six for about $299, he thought the .45 caliber would be significantly less than a comparable Ruger. He thought that for $250 it would be a great gun, but at $349.99 it is only about $70 or $80 dollars less than the Ruger. I too thought the price might be lower. It also surprises me that there is no mention of the new model on the Heritage Manufacturing website. The employee also heard that there was going to be a .32 caliber offerred, but he had not seen one.
