I am looking for load suggestions for Henry 45 colt. I use trail boss in vaqueros but had heard alliant 2400 be slower burning might be good for this rifle. Any suggestions appreciated

Sam, since some have strong feelings regarding that particular rifle I wouldn't expect very serious answers. I do suggest you go the
www.reloadammo.com
You will probably find your answers to your question. Also go to the powder companies' various web sites and see what they suggest.

Thanks Will. I have been to the listed sight for many loads. There is nothing there for 45 colt in rifle. I will probably just find a load with good balance between rugers and henry with trail boss. Very happy with it in revolvers. Even use it in my light 460 mag loads.

I don't se any reason to have anything other than a revolver load
That keeps you from having to keep the 2 loads separate.

I agree with Will. For any but the most magnum results, stick with one load ... and in a Vaquero, the magnum loads would be fine for hunting, for instance.
For CAS, keep any loads to factory specs or lower.
