Firing pin strike in Armi-Sport Spencer
« on: May 09, 2010, 04:26:30 AM »
After curing just about every problem I have found in my Spencer, I have one more left that I have ignored as it does not seem to make a difference in the firing of the carbine. The strike of the firing pin is not on center. It appears to be hitting 'high' on the primer. The discharge of the carbine is fine and I bet have started on the 2nd 500 rounds already. It's just that I would like to make what might be a simple adjustment and get this final problem behind me. Any suggestions? If the block could be pulled down in the action a little, that would do it. Thank you!

It is only an issue if it starts hitting right on the edge of the primer where the side and flat face of the primer meet.  Then ignition may be iffy, and it will stress the firing pin towards the center of the primer as the side of the primer can not compress.  A picture would help.
